Dusty trails, tall pines, slow moving cattle and fast moving stampedes, campfire smoke and coffee that’ll float a nail, the lonesome wail of a coyote, Western legends and tall tales, harmony as tightly twined as a cowboy’s best lariat.
Circuit Riders sing the old traditional cowboy songs of the late 1800s, many of which were rooted in their heritage, from the “old country” of their forebears. We sing the popular Western songs of the 1930s and 40s by such notable performers as Roy Rogers and the Sons of the Pioneers, and contemporary compositions as well as original songs.
Circuit Riders have performed at Western music festivals, county fairs, history museums, schools, churches, private parties and community events. How can we enhance your event?

For 30 years Circuit Riders have been singing gospel music with a “Western flair” in churches all over the West, presenting inspirational songs with a cowboy theme as well gospel music “reworked.” Don’t be surprised to hear yodeling with “Life’s Railway to Heaven” or bluegrass banjo with “The Blood-washed Band.” Following Jesus is a life of joy, and we love our music to reflect that. Life also takes us through hard times, fearful times, and some of our songs reflect that as well, but always with the message of hope that God is always with us. Our desire is to share in music and testimonies the hope that we have in Christ and what He did for us on the Cross.
Fall and Spring Round Up Sundays provide a perfect opportunity to gather the strays back to church. A Gospel concert in the morning service, maybe a potluck dinner/chili cook-off, or BBQ, and then an afternoon Cowboy Western Concert: how can we help your church ministry?
“It is a joy to be able to recommend to you the Circuit Riders. They are a group of Cowboy Singers who are theologically sound, trustworthy, and talented musicians.” - Pastor Dennis Sanders, Airport Boulevard Baptist Church, Aurora, Colorado
Western History & Education
We have a variety of history programs that teach children about the settling of the American West. We have taught and entertained children in public schools, Christian schools, home school groups, and at museum events. Though some programs are targeted to 4th and 5th grades when state and American history are taught, we have opportunities for students on both sides of those grades. Take a look at our various programs and know that we can adjust for your needs.
“The teachers are enthusiastic about this opportunity to bring history out of the text book pages. They are pleased that the program can meet state academic standards in history while providing their classes with a meaningful and memorable learning experience.” - Brenda Trippel, Education Coordinator, Washakie Museum, Worland, Wyoming

Who was the cowboy?
What was his job?
Why does he dress like that?
Were there cowgirls, too?
What was the Cowboy Code of Honor?
Are there still cowboys today?
The younger children as well as older groups enjoy the fun and music in learning that this often legendary icon of the American West is based in real history.

Did the cowboy really sing, or was that just in the old-time movies?
Find out about the music of the men who rode the range - its origin in centuries old songs of the British Isles to the wild popularity of Western music on radio and in movies of the 1930s and 40s.
Students will sing along and even create their own verses to one of the authentic trail tunes of the 1800s.

In a dramatic presentation. “Sarah” tells of her journey West by covered wagon on the Oregon Trail.
With both laughter and tears, students have been kept enthralled with the stories, the music, and the drama of her experience.
Sharon Bothwell has created “Sarah” from reading journals of actual women who made this dangerous journey with their husbands and children to the land of their dreams.
Sunday school programs
for combined ages
Kick off your special Sunday by gathering everyone, kids and adults alike, for a combined Sunday school. Bandit the Raccoon joins the Circuit Riders with his photographic report on his trip to a local natural history museum and learns that the Bible has answers for the questions the museum brings up about the origins of …well, everything. Is the universe really billions of years old? Did any human ever see a dinosaur? And… just who created it all? We all learn to “Check It Out with the Bible!”
